I love to cook, whether it be at home with family or here in the café cooking for customers.
I started my cooking career in a quaint French restaurant in the wine country of California back in the mid-'80s. The chef/owner was classically trained and his standards were high. Everything was made from raw ingredients and the food was amazing. I adopted those standards and have carried them with me ever since.
We easily could take shortcuts to save money and time, but then, our food wouldn't be what it is. From our soups to our salad dressings, everything is made in house with fresh ingredients. We're sure that when you taste our food, you'll taste the difference.
We love to bake, but we really love to bake bread. All our sourdough bread is made over a 24 hour period, allowing nature to take its course to produce a
flavorful bread with incredible crust and airy crumb. Use it for toast, sandwiches, or you can do like I do, and just eat the whole loaf on the way home!
Since the beginning of the COVID-19 crisis, we have taken several approaches
to continue to offer food to our customers without risking their health, the health of our employees, or ourselves. Now that the COVID-19 cases are down in the area, and out of necessity to generate revenue, we are now open to sit-down service. Come see us Tuesday-Saturday from 8:00 am to 2:00 pm and for Sunday Brunch from 10:00 am to 2:00 pm. We're wearing masks and diligently sanitizing surfaces in the café to keep you and staff safe. Please remember to practice good hygiene while at the café. we have hand sanitizing stations right inside our main entrance, near the back door, and at the restrooms. If you feel sick or have a fever, please stay home.
